Made with an arm that almost wasn't
At eleven, Brooks Davis II tore the ligaments, muscle and tendon at his dominant elbow, and doctors said he might never regain full use of it. He drew anyway: through Savannah Arts Academy, through an architecture degree at SCAD, and every day since. That's why every sheet on this site is drawn like a plan.
I was told this arm might never bend past ninety degrees again. Every portrait since has gone past that.
Live portraits for your event
Weddings, shop events, rescue days and brand activations. Brooks draws or paints guests' pets live, in 20–30 minute sessions. At Wag-O-Ween with Asher + Rye, all 18 sessions were booked.
